This works really well for both adding some length to the drill and also allowing you to drill at an angle, as long as the angle isn't too sharp.
Sometimes a screw is so close to a wall, for example, that there isn't room for the drill. This will allow you to hold the drill farther away from the wall, and drill at an angle straight in.
The outer sleeve doesn't rotate, so you can hold it with your hand while drilling.
A good problem solver to keep in the drill case.
