I bought a TomTom GPS. After eleven months the screen went blank and the unit would not respond. Do a GOOGLE search on ' TomTom white screen of death ' you will find hundreds of complaints. The TomTom customer support is terrible. You must wait on hold for at least thirty minutes. And then a rep will refuse to allow you to return the unit untill you have spent hours trouble shooting. They email you detailed, complicated instructions you must follow trying to restore the screen. Nothing worked for me and then the unit died. Then they question your warranty. Had to fax a copy of the receipt before they would consider issuing a return authorization. The whole customer service ordeal took two weeks to resolve and I still have not received the RMA promised via email yesterday. Buy a Garmin. yOu will be a lot happier.
